Sad sad news for any self-respecting metal and or prog lover, Team Rock, who bought us everything we needed to know about our fave scenes have announced that they have gone into administration. Over 70 staff are being laid off over several locations in the UK and the future of magazines such as Metal Hammer, Prog and Classic Rock are at this point unknown.

I’d personally like to thank them for their publications over the years for getting me into so many bands, I am a subscriber to their online services and regularly have Prog delivered…one of my favourite times of the month is finding a quiet couple of hours, putting my headphones on and working my way through the review section of the mag to find new tunes.

I hope something is salvaged, my best wishes go to the staff who have had the awful news this side of Christmas and I thank you again for the likes of Beardfish, Parallax Method, Soen, Cyborg Octopus etc which I may never have discovered without you 😦
