Aftermath was originally intended to be released as part of a second follow up EP to Anguish and is a song that Fraktions played live at a run of summer gigs including UK Tech-Metal Fest 2017. Despite the sudden departure of both our guitarists in July the remaining members Joel, Will and Ross were determined to bring their vision for Aftermath to life. Aftermath effectively closes this chapter of the band as a progressive metal quintet.

Fraktions would like to extend their gratitude to Dave Klussmann for helping us out by tracking all the guitar parts and being patient with us throughout the production process as we are obsessive about nailing all the finer details of our music. If any other metal bands are looking for a producer we would highly recommend working with him.

Patrick has done a fantastic job creating a unique piece of artwork for this single. Thanks again to Dave Minall // Cloud Music Typography for doing a great job with the stream video. We’ve worked with him many times before and he never disappoints. We encourage you to take a look at their respective pages linked below.

Vocalist & Composer Joel Pinder had this to say:

“As for the future of the band we have every intention of returning but do not want to rush the process. At the moment we are focused on bettering ourselves as musicians, writing new progressive music and improving our live show. For the time being we hope you enjoy Aftermath!”
